The Customs Brokers & Freight Forwarders Federation of NZ (www.cbaff.org.nz) has chosen as its 2013 conference theme to pose the topical question: Supply chain collaboration – the way of the future?
This concept is already evolving globally and likely to firm up further over the next few years as transporters (road, rail, maritime and air), forwarders, brokers, regulatory authorities and others seek operational models that are more efficient and sustainable.
CBAFF’s conference will be at Trinity Wharf, Tauranga, from May 8-10. The organisation says it has rejuvenated the conference program, “partnering with potential delegates, speakers and sponsors to develop a program and environment that is more inclusive of mutual needs and desired outcomes.” And in response to member feedback, it has devised “initiatives to encourage participation by younger staff members.”
