Air NZ is cutting another of its long-haul routes, dropping the Hong Kong to London service from next March. The airline says after reviewing the service it has decided it will not be making any money in the near term.
It is expected there will be about 70 job losses, mainly of cabin crew. Meanwhile the airline is forming a strategic agreement with Cathay Pacific over services on the Auckland-Hong Kong route.
